I took the course because I work with a very strong analytics platform that is written in Python language, and quite honestly, I wanted to be able to start understanding how, why, and what the system could do. I have never done any coding in my life, but by the end of this course, I was actually able to have a reasonably intelligent conversation with my engineer on some of the things that I needed my machine to do. It was because, each step in this course really broke down what the \"machine\" was doing with the language that was being placed in. While my engineer is far from in danger for his position, it is nice to know what and why he is doing things and quite frankly, to be able to move towards joining him in writing some of this code as well as challenging thoughts, to make things better. Oh, and one last thing, Erik was extremely responsive, answered the questions (without calling me an idiot, well at least not in his reply emails), and for that, I am truly a fan.
