However, this should not happen as Unicode is the default for strings in Python3.\r\n\r\nAn example is the following code:\r\n\r\n```\r\ntest = \"á\"\r\n```\r\n\r\nThat produces the following \"syntax error\":\r\n\r\n```\r\n  File \"\u003cstdin\u003e\", line 0\r\n\r\n    ^\r\nSyntaxError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xc3 in position 8: ordinal not in range(128)\r\n```\r\n\r\nI think that the error is caused due to the LANG environment variable. Running in `da4`:\r\n\r\n```\r\necho $LANG\r\n```\r\n\r\n I get that the language is `C`. However, if I run the same command in `da0` I get `en_US.UTF-8`. Therefore, if we set the language of `da4` using:\r\n\r\n```\r\nexport LANG=\"en_US.UTF-8\"\r\n```\r\n\r\nThen executing the code from above removes the error.
