If you have BMW's Dynamic Cruise Control (DCC - S540), then you could control the cruise speed setpoint rather easily via +/- buttons messages. That's what [I do](https://github.com/dzid26/openpilot-for-BMW-E8x-E9x/blob/ab3a560bf0d0e678150bcfa9e20863807d4056f6/selfdrive/car/bmw/bmwcan.py#L49). Note, my BMW E82 1-series didn't have a dynamic cruise originally and I needed to [code it in](https://www.babybmw.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1061539#p1061539). After the coding DSC takes over cruise speed control and requests torque from DME and of course does the braking. \r\nFor the normal Cruise option (S540), the speed control was in the DME. \r\nAs to ACC option (S541) - I don't know what controls what. Perhaps this is the [clue](https://github.com/HeinrichG-V12/E65_ReverseEngineering/blob/main/docs/0x0B7.md).\r\n\r\nWho knows - maybe these CAN databases could be similar to E39 and useful:\r\nhttps://github.com/HeinrichG-V12/E65_ReverseEngineering\r\nAnd mine: https://github.com/dzid26/opendbc-BMW-E8x-E9x\r\n\r\nOf course, I know hacking the DSC module itself should be the more generic approach (if anyone will dare to reproduce).","author":{"url":"https://github.com/dzid26","@type":"Person","name":"dzid26"},"datePublished":"2022-05-05T22:58:27.000Z","interactionStatistic":{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/CommentAction","userInteractionCount":0},"url":"https://github.com/1/BrakeModule/issues/1"}
