I was concerned that continuing to use the focal version would be all kinds of bad. Therefore, my mono installation is in /usr/local. Hopefully now that Microsoft has given the mono project back to the community there will be newer package(s) soon. In any case, that setup didn't allow configuring dotdevelop as show below.\r\n\r\nSteps taken:\r\n- Build mono. I documented steps here: https://github.com/Hierosoft/linux-preinstall/blob/master/developer/mono-from-source.deb.sh\r\n- Configure dotdevelop\r\n```\r\ngit submodule update --init --recursive\r\n./configure\r\n```\r\n\r\n- Result:\r\n```\r\nThe build profile 'default' does not exist. A new profile will be created.\r\ncp: cannot stat 'profiles/stable': No such file or directory\r\n./configure: line 88: profiles/all: No such file or directory\r\nSelect the packages to include in the build for the profile 'default':\r\n\r\n\r\nEnter the number of an add-in to enable/disable,\r\n(q) quit, (c) clear all, (s) select all, or ENTER to continue:\r\n```\r\n- I pressed enter and got:\r\n```\r\n./configure: line 156: profiles/default: No such file or directory\r\nConfiguration Summary\r\n---------------------\r\n\r\nMonoDevelop has been configured with \r\n    prefix = /usr/local\r\n    profile = default\r\n\r\nPackages included in the build:\r\n```\r\n- Then `make` results in:\r\n```\r\nMakefile:1: main/monodevelop_version: No such file or directory\r\nmake: *** No rule to make target 'main/monodevelop_version'.
