{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"DiscussionForumPosting","headline":"Set exif orientation","articleBody":"Thank you for a great library!\r\n\r\nI am trying to set the orientation of an image without changing image data:\r\n\r\n`      \r\n\r\n     const imageData = await loadImage(blob, { meta: true });\r\n      loadImage.writeExifData(imageData.imageHead, imageData, \"Orientation\", 7);\r\n      const resultBlob = await loadImage.replaceHead(blob, imageData.imageHead);\r\n`\r\nThe problem is that reading works fine but writing result in the following:\r\n\r\nWrite: Results in\r\n1: 1\r\n2: 1\r\n3: 3\r\n4: 1\r\n5: 5\r\n6: 1\r\n7: 8\r\n8: 1\r\n\r\nSo the sample code above results in orientation 8\r\n\r\npiexif.js have the same problem.\r\n\r\nFor reference:\r\n\r\nThe 8 EXIF orientation values are numbered 1 to 8.\r\n\r\n1 = 0 degrees: the correct orientation, no adjustment is required.\r\n2 = 0 degrees, mirrored: image has been flipped back-to-front.\r\n3 = 180 degrees: image is upside down.\r\n4 = 180 degrees, mirrored: image has been flipped back-to-front and is upside down.\r\n5 = 90 degrees: image has been flipped back-to-front and is on its side.\r\n6 = 90 degrees, mirrored: image is on its side.\r\n7 = 270 degrees: image has been flipped back-to-front and is on its far side.\r\n8 = 270 degrees, mirrored: image is on its far side.\r\n\r\nI need the 6 orientation.
