{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"DiscussionForumPosting","headline":"Issue with devise and bcrypt on a macbook m1 rails install","articleBody":"Hello there, I'm having some issues on a new mac m1 and my install of rails\r\n\r\n### System configuration\r\n\r\n**OS**:  macOS Big Sur Version 11.2.1 (20D74)\r\n\r\n**zsh**: 5.8 (x86_64-apple-darwin20.0)\r\n\r\n**postgres**: 13.2\r\n\r\n**Rails version**:  Rails 6.1.3\r\n\r\n**Ruby version**: ruby 2.7.2p137 (2020-10-01 revision 5445e04352) [arm64-darwin20]\r\n\r\n**Brew version**:  Homebrew 3.0.9\r\n\r\n### What I can do:\r\nI have successfully:\r\n- create a rails app with `rails new myApp -d postgresql`\r\n- add gem devise to the Gemfile\r\n- run `bundle install`\r\n- create devise User and all CRUD views\r\n- run `db:create`, `db:migrate`\r\n- launch the server with `rails s`\r\n- access all the pages of login, sign up, etc...\r\n\r\n### Expected behavior\r\nI'm expecting to be able to create an account and connect to it.\r\n\r\n### Actual behavior\r\n\r\nWhen I try to create an account I'm running into an error about the gem bcrypt that seems to run on the wrong architecture...\r\n\r\n\u003cimg width=\"1431\" alt=\"Screenshot 2021-04-05 at 21 33 17\" src=\"https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/60394449/113617696-f5324b80-9656-11eb-9776-953a248bccb1.png\"\u003e\r\n\r\nI've tried to reinstall everything but i still got the same error.\r\n\r\nAnyone have an idea about the issue ?\r\n\r\nThanks by advance and have a good day to you all.\r\n\r\n","author":{"url":"https://github.com/elviajero971","@type":"Person","name":"elviajero971"},"datePublished":"2021-04-05T20:00:11.000Z","interactionStatistic":{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/CommentAction","userInteractionCount":2},"url":"https://github.com/250/bcrypt-ruby/issues/250"}
