{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"DiscussionForumPosting","headline":"Installation Size","articleBody":"Hi\r\n\r\nThere is an error in the Installation Script when reading registry values, the Path exists in the registry but not the property (Get-ItemProperty -Path $global:SSMS*_RegistryConfigKey -Name InstallDir).\r\n\r\nAnd some suggestions to make the installation/release smaller/better:\r\n- remove the pdb files from the Releases.\r\n- remove the docx file from Releases.\r\n- have common dlls in a shared path in the zip file.\r\n- Confirm which versions to install (I have multiple SSMS instalations)\r\n\r\nAlthough we live in the age of high speed internet, some of us don't really have high speed :(.
