{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"DiscussionForumPosting","headline":"import pdal: Library not loaded.","articleBody":"Hello!\r\nI have installed PDAL from source using [these instructions](https://pdal.io/en/2.6.2/development/compilation/unix.html)\r\nHere is the output:\r\n\u003cimg width=\"284\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https://github.com/PDAL/python/assets/94386515/44ef0201-5b8f-46a9-84f3-851347039157\"\u003e\r\n\r\nI have verified that the relevant libraries are in /usr/loca/lib:\r\n\u003cimg width=\"1306\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https://github.com/PDAL/python/assets/94386515/0604e7ed-6e0e-4247-92a2-b9399b0fe1b4\"\u003e\r\n\r\nI then install pdal with pip:\r\n\u003cimg width=\"855\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https://github.com/PDAL/python/assets/94386515/4331c0bb-6bb6-48d2-a8d7-b25578103756\"\u003e\r\n \r\nBut when I try to import the library I get a \"Library not loaded error\". \r\n\u003cimg width=\"1509\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https://github.com/PDAL/python/assets/94386515/f6437241-c2c8-4729-824d-ac496bdfee74\"\u003e\r\n\r\nIt seems that the python pdal is not linked to the pdal installation.
