Browser opens, goes to the app already running on `localhost:8000`, stackit cli is stuck\n\n## Actual behavior\n\nThe terminal reads the following and nothing happens:\n\n```\nYour browser has been opened to visit:\n\nhttps://accounts.stackit.cloud/oauth/v2/authorize?\u003cloads-of-stuff\u003e\u0026redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%3A8000\u0026\u003cmore-stuff\u003e\n\n```\n\nThis doesn't always happen which is curious.\n\nI tried to block the port with a simple python server by running `python3 -m http.server`, but then stackit CLI used another port (`8001`) as I would've expected.\n\nWhen I run a static site generator such as [Zensical](https://zensical.org), the oauth flow gets stuck as described above, and no alternative port is chosen. \n\n## Expected behavior\n\nI expect stackit cli to reliably fallback to a different port if `8000` is occupied.\n\n## Environment\n - OS: MacOS 26\n - Version of STACKIT CLI (see `stackit --version`): `0.51.0`\n\n","author":{"url":"https://github.com/KevinGimbel","@type":"Person","name":"KevinGimbel"},"datePublished":"2026-01-23T07:50:40.000Z","interactionStatistic":{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/CommentAction","userInteractionCount":1},"url":"https://github.com/1250/stackit-cli/issues/1250"}
