Hey, it has json ld scripts:
{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"DiscussionForumPosting","headline":"Strange error: unsupported reference type: \u003cnil\u003e","articleBody":"### Version\r\n\r\n1.22.0\r\n\r\n### What happened?\r\n\r\nI am trying to generate queries in a local project and it results in this error\r\n\r\n`unsupported reference type: \u003cnil\u003e` \r\n\r\nThe reason for this is unclear in the sense that the exact same structure/queries works fine in Playground. It only appears locally on my Mac, running go 1.21.1\r\n\r\nNow, the code is generated  - despite the error showing.\r\n\r\nI've tried installing sqlc both with go install and brew, made no difference. I can't figure out what's different between what runs in playground and what runs locally. Or maybe the playground simply ignores that output?\r\n\r\nThe real issue comes when trying to run the function generated =\u003e `sql: expected 3 arguments, got 2`\r\nThis is particularly strange because it seems it doesn't recognize arguments with the same name which are part of the same .... scope? I think, because I wrote more complex cases where arguments like `calendarIdKey` were reused in different parts of the same INSERT and they were fine. However, the timezone argument here is taken separately when part of the CASE test vs when it's used to provide the value in ELSE.\r\n\r\n### Relevant log output\r\n\r\n```shell\r\n`unsupported reference type: \u003cnil\u003e` \r\n\r\nWith debug: https://gist.github.com/andrei-dascalu/700814035f1998de27a80e0203e9657a\r\n```\r\n\r\n\r\n### Database schema\r\n\r\n```sql\r\nCREATE TABLE `Calendar` (\r\n  `Id` bigint(20) unsigned NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,\r\n  `Relation` bigint(20) unsigned NOT NULL,\r\n  `CalendarName` longblob NOT NULL,\r\n  `Title` longblob NOT NULL,\r\n  `Description` longblob NOT NULL,\r\n  `Timezone` varchar(50) NOT NULL,\r\n  `UniqueKey` varchar(50) NOT NULL,\r\n  `IdKey` varchar(50) NOT NULL,\r\n  `MainCalendar` enum('true','false') NOT NULL DEFAULT 'false',\r\n  `CreateDate` datetime NOT NULL DEFAULT CURRENT_TIMESTAMP,\r\n  `ModifyDate` datetime NOT NULL DEFAULT CURRENT_TIMESTAMP ON UPDATE CURRENT_TIMESTAMP,\r\n  PRIMARY KEY (`Id`),\r\n  KEY `Relation` (`Relation`),\r\n  KEY `UniqueKey` (`UniqueKey`),\r\n  KEY `IdKey` (`IdKey`)\r\n) ENGINE=InnoDB AUTO_INCREMENT=2 DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8mb4;\r\n\r\n\r\nCREATE TABLE `Event` (\r\n  `Id` bigint(20) unsigned NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,\r\n  `Relation` bigint(20) unsigned NOT NULL,\r\n  `CalendarReference` bigint(20) unsigned NOT NULL,\r\n  `UniqueKey` varchar(50) NOT NULL,\r\n  `EventName` longblob NOT NULL,\r\n  `Description` longblob NOT NULL,\r\n  `Location` varchar(500) NOT NULL,\r\n  `Timezone` varchar(50) NOT NULL,\r\n  `IdKey` varchar(48) DEFAULT NULL,\r\n  PRIMARY KEY (`Id`),\r\n  KEY `Relation` (`Relation`),\r\n  KEY `CalendarReference` (`CalendarReference`),\r\n  KEY `UniqueKey` (`UniqueKey`),\r\n  KEY `IdKey` (`IdKey`)\r\n) ENGINE=InnoDB AUTO_INCREMENT=5 DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8mb4;\r\n```\r\n\r\n\r\n### SQL queries\r\n\r\n```sql\r\n-- name: AddEvent :execlastid\r\nINSERT INTO `Event` (\r\n    Timezone\r\n) VALUES (\r\n    (CASE WHEN sqlc.arg(\"Timezone\") = \"calendar\" THEN (SELECT cal.Timezone FROM Calendar cal WHERE cal.IdKey = sqlc.arg(\"calendarIdKey\")) ELSE sqlc.arg(\"Timezone\") END)\r\n);\r\n```\r\n\r\n\r\n### Configuration\r\n\r\n_No response_\r\n\r\n### Playground URL\r\n\r\nhttps://play.sqlc.dev/p/296540930cfa87073b096c229df93152bae688b9c997bc70f94b4264928d5464\r\n\r\n### What operating system are you using?\r\n\r\nmacOS\r\n\r\n### What database engines are you using?\r\n\r\nMySQL\r\n\r\n### What type of code are you generating?\r\n\r\nGo","author":{"url":"https://github.com/andrei-dascalu","@type":"Person","name":"andrei-dascalu"},"datePublished":"2023-09-28T11:19:45.000Z","interactionStatistic":{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/CommentAction","userInteractionCount":8},"url":"https://github.com/2786/sqlc/issues/2786"}
