Open a TypeScript file with the default extension settings.\n\n### Actual behavior\n\nRslint starts in bridged mode, then exits with:\n\n```text\nNo lint configuration found. Add define.lint(...) to your Rstack config file.\n```\n\nThis is followed by connection-disposed and server-restart errors.\n\n### Expected behavior\n\nA formatting-only configuration should not start Rslint or produce lint errors. Enable the lint integration only when a lint configuration is present.\n\n### Versions / workaround\n\nObserved with extension **0.4.0**, `rstack` **0.8.2**, and `@rslint/core` **0.9.5** on macOS arm64. Source inspection of **0.4.1** shows the same root-config detection condition; I have not rerun the reproduction on 0.4.1.\n\nSetting `\"rstack.rslint.enable\": false` works around the issue, but should not be required for formatting-only projects.","author":{"url":"https://github.com/chenjiahan","@type":"Person","name":"chenjiahan"},"datePublished":"2026-10-10T02:21:09Z","url":"https://github.com/rstackjs/rstack-editor/issues/93"}
