This fixes cases where some exceptions are "unnormalized" (see https://docs.python.org/3/c-api/exceptions.html#c.PyErr_NormalizeException). Calling PyErr_NormalizeException will normalize the exception so that any calls to the traceback module functions correctly. Does this close any currently open issues? #1190 Checklist Check all those that are applicable and complete. Make sure to include one or more tests for your change Add yourself to AUTHORS Updated the CHANGELOG
