Without compilation it works ok.\r\n\r\nFor demo code, I used https://github.com/pythonnet/pythonnet/blob/master/demo/helloform.py\r\n\r\nMy setup.py file\r\n\r\n```\r\nfrom distutils.core import setup\r\nfrom distutils.extension import Extension\r\nfrom Cython.Build import cythonize\r\n\r\next_modules = [\r\n    Extension(\r\n        'helloform',\r\n        sources = ['helloform.py'],\r\n        language = 'c++'\r\n      )\r\n]\r\n\r\nsetup(\r\n  name = 'helloform',\r\n  ext_modules = cythonize(ext_modules),\r\n)\r\n```\r\nThen I build it with python setup.py build_ext --inplace.\r\n\r\nI wanted to load compiled module from Python prompt with import helloform but it failed with\r\n\r\n```\r\nTraceback (most recent call last):\r\n  File \"\u003cstdin\u003e\", line 1, in \u003cmodule\u003e\r\n  File \"helloform.py\", line 8, in init helloform\r\nModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'System'\r\n```","author":{"url":"https://github.com/crayxt","@type":"Person","name":"crayxt"},"datePublished":"2019-08-16T13:02:05.000Z","interactionStatistic":{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/CommentAction","userInteractionCount":6},"url":"https://github.com/941/pythonnet/issues/941"}
