Description: (The individual commits may be easier to review). This refactor makes most optimisation functions take as args what they actually need so that we don't need to pass the compiler/assembler structs around everywhere. The assembler is now initialised after all the optimisations, just before code is emitted. The advantages are: These functions become easier to unit test It brings us closer to a separation between the code-gen/optimisation/assembly stages.
