Install clean VS code insider \r\n2. Install Java extension pack\r\n3. Load java application below\r\n4. Redirect console output to \"internalConsole\" via launch.json and launch main method\r\n5. Debug console will show only two first lines, then hangs.\r\n\r\nApplication to reproduce - will just print this exception instead of raising it, result is the same.\r\n```java\r\npublic class TestApplication {\r\n    public static void main(String[] args) {\r\n        System.out.println(\"Exception in thread \\\"main\\\" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: failed\");\r\n        System.out.println(\"\tat TestApplication.main(TestApplication.java:7)\");\r\n        System.out.println(\"\tat org.springframework.beans.factory.annotation.InitDestroyAnnotationBeanPostProcessor$LifecycleElement.invoke(InitDestroyAnnotationBeanPostProcessor.java:363)\");\r\n        System.out.println(\"\tat TestApplication.main(TestApplication.java:7)\");\r\n    }\r\n}\r\n```\r\n\r\n##### Current Result\r\nDebug console will show only two first lines, then hangs.\r\n\r\n##### Expected Result\r\nDebug console will show all lines and continue to print next messages (if any).\r\n\r\n##### Additional Informations\r\nSome other exceptions will print just OK, it seems that somehow the code which is trying to determine in which file this exception happened will crash when it encounters static class (with dollar character) or non-existing file/class in exception text (at \u003cfile\u003e).\r\n\r\n##### Peviously submitted to vscode at:\r\nhttps://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/84061","author":{"url":"https://github.com/FrantisekDurajka","@type":"Person","name":"FrantisekDurajka"},"datePublished":"2019-11-20T16:32:58.000Z","interactionStatistic":{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/CommentAction","userInteractionCount":0},"url":"https://github.com/719/vscode-java-debug/issues/719"}
