Instead, the generator should be run until it raises a `StopIteration` exception.\r\n\r\n**Code for reproduction**\r\n\r\n```python\r\nimport numpy as np\r\nfrom matplotlib.animation import FuncAnimation\r\n\r\ndef get_frames():\r\n    t = 0.0\r\n    x = np.linspace(0, 2*np.pi, 100)\r\n    l, = plt.plot(x, np.sin(x+t))\r\n    txt = plt.title(\"\")\r\n    yield l,  # Initial frame... not stored\r\n    for nt, t in enumerate(np.linspace(0,2*np.pi, 200)):\r\n        l.set_data(x, np.sin(x+t))\r\n        txt.set_text(\"frame: {}\".format(nt))\r\n        yield l,\r\n        \r\nanim = FuncAnimation(plt.gcf(), lambda artists:artists, frames=get_frames())\r\n\r\n# To view, use a notebook for example\r\nfrom IPython.display import HTML\r\nHTML(anim.to_html5_video())\r\n```\r\n\r\n**Actual outcome**\r\n\r\nOnly frames 0 to 99 are drawn even though the generator will produce 200 frames (up to 199).\r\n\r\n**Expected outcome**\r\n\r\nAn animation that runs until the generator raises `StopIteration`.\r\n\r\n**Matplotlib version**\r\n\r\nIt looks like this will affect the latest version on GitHub.
