Some are bugs and some are performance issues that make interactive usability difficult.  I am opening this issue to list them all at once.  This way when I submit my pull requests with the fixes, I can just reference this issue.  I am also listing them all here to give you a heads up to the issues we found and that there are fixes coming.\r\n\r\nThe issues are as follows:\r\n- [ ] BarHCollection is very slow\r\n- [x] stale artists do not handle being removed from axes properly\r\n- [x] position of text annotations looses unit information\r\n- [ ] polar plots do not properly handle units #4905\r\n- [x] broken_barh does not properly support units\r\n- [ ] figure option dialog does not properly handle units\r\n- [x] generating fontconfig strings from mpl FontProperties is broken #4910\r\n- [x] Super short lines with arrows do not act well\r\n- [x] qt imports do not pick defaults properly\r\n- [x] animation blitting is no longer working\r\n- [x] mouse movement is very slow\r\n- [x] Agg restore_region is broken\r\n- [x] qt backend default bbox not set when blitting\r\n- [x] qt backend draw_idle doesn't work\r\n- [x] qt backend has more draws than necessary\r\n- [x] text update properties does not handle bbox properly\r\n- [x] bar plot fails with no tick labels\r\n\r\nI already have fixes for almost all of these and will be submitting them in the next day or so (with more details about each one).\r\n\r\nEdited to add a missing issue I forgot the first time.\r\n","author":{"url":"https://github.com/jrevans","@type":"Person","name":"jrevans"},"datePublished":"2015-08-10T20:26:44.000Z","interactionStatistic":{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/CommentAction","userInteractionCount":24},"url":"https://github.com/4897/matplotlib/issues/4897"}
