The following properties\r\n    additionally accept a sequence of values corresponding to the\r\n    datasets in *x*:\r\n    *edgecolors*, *facecolors*, *lines*, *linestyles*, *hatches*.\r\n```\r\nbut this does not match actual behavior\r\n\r\n### Code for reproduction\r\n\r\n```Python\r\nfrom pylab import *\r\nhist(randn(100), facecolor=\"red\")  # works\r\nhist(randn(100), fc=\"red\")  # silently does nothing\r\nhist(randn(100), facecolors=\"red\")  # crashes (Rectangle.set() got an unexpected keyword argument 'facecolors')\r\n\r\n# and likewise for edgecolor(s)\r\n```\r\n\r\n\r\n### Actual outcome\r\n\r\nSee above.\r\n\r\n### Expected outcome\r\n\r\nAt least the documentation and the behavior should match.
