I propose the docs get consolidated down to one installation page, the section from the FAQ be removed, and that the developer docs \u0026 install.rst should cross link to that install page. \r\n\r\nIn the process of consolidating the docs, the following issues should probably also at least be addressed:\r\n- [ ] #6418  Update virtual env+osx+conda docs\r\n- [ ] #8652  Windows build using conda\r\n- [ ] #11702 Installing from source on windows\r\n- [ ] #7418 Definitive Docs for Compilation on Windows\r\n- [ ] #14755 uninstall existing versions of matplotlib\r\n- [ ] #9994 Document nightly wheels location","author":{"url":"https://github.com/story645","@type":"Person","name":"story645"},"datePublished":"2020-05-04T20:16:55.000Z","interactionStatistic":{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/CommentAction","userInteractionCount":12},"url":"https://github.com/17327/matplotlib/issues/17327"}
