{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"DiscussionForumPosting","headline":"ByteBuffer sorting changed in 0.9.0","articleBody":"Hi \r\n\r\nI think 0.9.0 introduced regression where ByteBuffers comparison has changed.\r\nThis likely is a result of a change in https://github.com/lmdbjava/lmdbjava/pull/199\r\nwhere custom comparator for byte[] and ByteBuffer has been swapped for Arrays.compare(o1, o2);\r\n\r\nIt seems original implementation was always using unsigned bytes.\r\nNow default implementation uses unsigned bytes.\r\nAs far as I understand this can be modified by passing MDB_INTEGERKEY to _env.openDb and this is a setting persisted in Db.\r\nThis was never a requirement in previous versions so it seems existing databases are not compatible unless the flag is added in the code.\r\n\r\nWhen I try to add that flag my tests still fail unable to either get key/value or iterate through them (iterator is empty).\r\n\r\nThis is likely related to \r\nhttps://github.com/lmdbjava/lmdbjava/issues/228\r\n\r\n","author":{"url":"https://github.com/ivenhov","@type":"Person","name":"ivenhov"},"datePublished":"2024-01-22T13:07:38.000Z","interactionStatistic":{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/CommentAction","userInteractionCount":14},"url":"https://github.com/230/lmdbjava/issues/230"}
