{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"DiscussionForumPosting","headline":"Broken recursive dependencies on master","articleBody":"Hello,\r\n\r\nI'm having a issue when my Makefile does:\r\n`go get -d \"github.com/libgit2/git2go\"`\r\n\r\nThe problem is that master was updated two days ago and the vendor/libgit2 submodule is in a old revision that has inside a dummy submodule (vendor/libgit2/tests/resources/rebase-submodule/my-submodule) pointing to nowhere. Because \"go get\" performs a recursive submodule download, it crashes.\r\nI already seen the CI crashed on that commit and the patch was to remove recursion but the dependency stills \"broken\". Also, the submodule dependency is from 14 Jun and master is currently in 24 Aug. Maybe updating the submodule ref would fix this problem.\r\n\r\nI can manage to workarround the problem while this dep is broken, but fixing it to work as expected would be nice :smile: \r\n\r\n\r\nThank you.","author":{"url":"https://github.com/sergiopr89","@type":"Person","name":"sergiopr89"},"datePublished":"2017-09-05T15:59:00.000Z","interactionStatistic":{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/CommentAction","userInteractionCount":10},"url":"https://github.com/407/git2go/issues/407"}
