First I tried with 3.59.0, then I increased the google-cloud-spanner version up to the latest 3.63.0.\n\n```\n$ update-requirements-lock.sh \n  × No solution found when resolving dependencies:\n  ╰─▶ Because google-cloud-spanner==3.63.0 depends on one of:\n          protobuf\u003e=3.20.2,\u003c4.21.0\n          protobuf\u003e4.21.0,\u003c4.21.1\n          protobuf\u003e4.21.1,\u003c4.21.2\n          protobuf\u003e4.21.2,\u003c4.21.3\n          protobuf\u003e4.21.3,\u003c4.21.4\n          protobuf\u003e4.21.4,\u003c4.21.5\n          protobuf\u003e4.21.5,\u003c7.0.0\n      and you require protobuf\u003e=7.34.1, we can conclude that your requirements and google-cloud-spanner==3.63.0 are incompatible.\n      And because you require google-cloud-spanner==3.63.0, we can conclude that your requirements are unsatisfiable.\n```\n\nI'm not sure if there is good reason to have the \u003c7.0.0 constraint on the protobuf package. The new protobuf rules seem to use: 7.34.1 by default.
