Feature Request                                                                                                         \n                                                                                                                              \n    **Describe the feature you'd like**                                                                                       \n    Add a `--version` flag to the `databusclient` CLI so users can quickly check which                                        \n    version is installed without reading `pip show databusclient`.                                                            \n                                                                                                                              \n    ```bash                                                                                                                   \n    $ databusclient --version                                                                                                 \n    databusclient, version 0.15                                                                                               \n                                                                                                                              \n  This is standard behaviour for Python CLI tools built with Click — Click provides                                           \n  built-in support via  @click.version_option .                                                                               \n                                                                                                                              \n  Why is this feature important?                                                                                              \n                                                                                                                              \n  • It's the first thing users check when filing a bug report or asking for support.                                          \n  • Currently  __version__ = \"0.15\"  exists in  __init__.py  but is completely                                                \n  unreachable from the command line. There is no way for a user to confirm which                                              \n  version they are running without using  pip show databusclient .                                                            \n  • It is a standard UX expectation for any CLI tool ( git --version ,                                                        \n   docker --version ,  rclone --version , etc.).                                                                              \n                                                                                                                              \n  Proposed implementation                                                                                                     \n  Click provides this out of the box with a single decorator on the  app  group in                                            \n   cli.py :                                                                                                                   \n                                                                                                                              \n    # cli.py                                                                                                                  \n    import databusclient                                                                                                      \n                                                                                                                              \n    @click.group()                                                                                                            \n    @click.version_option(version=databusclient.__version__, prog_name=\"databusclient\")                                       \n    def app():                                                                                                                \n        \"\"\"Databus Client CLI.\"\"\"                                                                                             \n        pass                                                                                                                  \n                                                                                                                              \n  This produces:                                                                                                              \n                                                                                                                              \n    $ databusclient --version                                                                                                 \n    databusclient, version 0.15                                                                                               \n                                                                                                                              \n  No new dependencies are required —  click.version_option  is already part of Click                                          \n  which is an existing dependency.                                                                                            \n                                                                                                                              \n  Describe alternatives you've considered                                                                                     \n                                                                                                                              \n  • Reading the version via  pip show databusclient  — works but is not discoverable                                          \n  and requires pip to be available in the same environment.                                                                   \n  • A separate  databusclient version  subcommand — unnecessarily verbose compared                                            \n  to the conventional  --version  flag.                                                                                       \n                                                                                                                              \n  Additional context                                                                                                          \n  Related: the version string is currently hardcoded in both  pyproject.toml  and                                             \n   databusclient/__init__.py .
