Desktop Windows/OS X sessions are not affected.\n\n**Steps to reproduce**\nnpm i -D browserstack-node-sdk@1.59.0 @playwright/test@1.61.1\nMinimal spec:\n[browserstack.yml](vscode-file://vscode-app/Applications/Visual%20Studio%20Code.app/Contents/Resources/app/out/vs/code/electron-browser/workbench/workbench.html) targeting Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, realMobile: true.\nRun: npx browserstack-node-sdk playwright test smoke.spec.ts\n**Actual**\nShortly after the first action (or at teardown):\n\nFollowed by page.waitForTimeout: Target page, context or browser has been closed on every subsequent step. Session shows the URL loaded on the device but the run ends with UnhandledError.\n\n**Expected**\nSame behaviour as @playwright/test@1.59.1 — session completes normally.\n\n**Suspected cause**\nThe SDK monkey-patches Playwright's internal Connection class (sessionDetails.js, method _0x51c14e). Playwright 1.60 refactored how in-flight command callbacks are tracked in playwright-core/src/client/connection.ts, so responses arrive for IDs the patch has already released. Desktop uses a different transport, hence real-mobile-only.\n\n**Workaround**\nPin @playwright/test to exact 1.59.1.\n\n**Ask**\nDocument the supported @playwright/test version range for real-device sessions.\nShip an SDK update that patches Playwright 1.60/1.61's refactored Connection.\nConsider replacing the monkey-patch with a public Playwright extension point so future refactors don't break real devices.\n","author":{"url":"https://github.com/rakhee-puria","@type":"Person","name":"rakhee-puria"},"datePublished":"2026-06-26T16:21:09.000Z","interactionStatistic":{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/CommentAction","userInteractionCount":0},"url":"https://github.com/86/node-js-playwright-browserstack/issues/86"}
