Toggling it off and on doesn't make it active but if you explicitly close it and then toggle it on, it starts working.\r\n\r\n### Steps to Reproduce\r\n\r\nStart Atom in safe mode and then:\r\n\r\n1. Add a Git project with `Application: Add Project Folder`\r\n2. Toggle the Git tab with `GitHub: Toggle Git Tab`\r\n3. Double click on one of the project files\r\n\r\nThe project opened needs to have no files open from saved state, otherwise things work fine.\r\n\r\n**Expected behavior:**\r\n\r\nExpect to see the Git tab UI.\r\n\r\n**Actual behavior:**\r\n\r\nSee a blank Git tab.
