The upgrade seems to check for serviceofferingid and require it to be present even though you can create one without serviceofferingid.\n\n\u003cimg width=\"318\" height=\"85\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/4e308a1a-41e9-4e3f-bb91-3d45c5222bbf\" /\u003e\n\nA second related issue is when I put a serviceofferingid of a 1 vcpu 1 GB ram in cmk create kubernetescluster as a way to pass the upgrade check. To my suprise, when I try to upgrade, cloudstack complains that the template does not meed minimum hardware requirement even though the template I put in to nodeoffering satisfy this requirement. So it must be using serviceofferingid to verify the hardware requirement when upgrade was triggered.\n\n### versions\n\n4.22.1 KVM NFS\n\n### The steps to reproduce the bug\n\n1. use cmk (or api) to create cks with nodeoffering ommiting serviceofferingid \n2. Try to upgrade CKS\n3.\n...\n\n\n### What to do about it?\n\nThe correct behaviour for the upgrade process is to also check for the presence of nodeoffering and use this to detect minimum hardware requirement","author":{"url":"https://github.com/chunkyen","@type":"Person","name":"chunkyen"},"datePublished":"2026-06-12T05:57:43.000Z","interactionStatistic":{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/CommentAction","userInteractionCount":0},"url":"https://github.com/13408/cloudstack/issues/13408"}
