Although declared on the @Component style part they will be compiled into the .ngstyle and be incoparated in the view. when another component uses the ::part annotated component the styles are propagated. \r\n\r\n\r\n## What is the motivation / use case for changing the behavior?\r\na component needs to allow external users to style its inner parts, let say a dropdown needs to have it's button, drop-down list \u0026 selection hover styleable.\r\n\r\nAngular version: 5.2.6\r\n\r\nBrowser: Any, it should compile away to allow browsers to support it today.\r\n","author":{"url":"https://github.com/nadavsinai","@type":"Person","name":"nadavsinai"},"datePublished":"2018-03-01T09:43:32.000Z","interactionStatistic":{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/CommentAction","userInteractionCount":7},"url":"https://github.com/22515/angular/issues/22515"}
