Examples include:\r\nhttps://github.com/PowerShell/PowerShell/issues/16747\r\nhttps://github.com/PowerShell/PowerShell/issues/3118\r\nhttps://github.com/PowerShell/PowerShell/issues/10064\r\nhttps://github.com/PowerShell/PowerShell/issues/14337\r\n\r\nTab completion already includes a couple of options like `[bool] RelativePaths` and `[bool]IgnoreHiddenShares` but the current way to set such options is hard to discover and inconvenient to change on the fly.  \r\nFor people that don't know, you need to modify the TabExpansion2 so both `CompleteInput` method calls use a hashtable with all the desired options set. There is an `options` parameter but if you try to set the default value there it gets ignored when you call TabExpansion2 with your tab key.\n\n### Proposed technical implementation details (optional)\n\nAdd a new variable similar to `$PSStyle` that contains all tabexpansion options, it could be called `$PSTabExpansionOptions`.  \r\nAnother option would be to add 2 commands: `Get-TabExpansionOption` and `Set-TabExpansionOption`.","author":{"url":"https://github.com/MartinGC94","@type":"Person","name":"MartinGC94"},"datePublished":"2023-01-17T22:49:20.000Z","interactionStatistic":{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/CommentAction","userInteractionCount":6},"url":"https://github.com/18963/PowerShell/issues/18963"}
