When the instance sends a message, I receive the webhook payload and check the pushName field.\n\n### What did you expect?\n\nI expected the pushName field to contain the name of the contact involved in the conversation (sender/recipient).\n\n### What did you observe instead of what you expected?\n\nWhen the instance sends a message, the pushName field contains the instance name instead of the contact name. The contact name is only returned correctly when the contact sends a message to the instance number. This behavior used to work correctly before and seems to have changed recently.\n\n### Screenshots/Videos\n\n_No response_\n\n### Which version of the API are you using?\n\n2.3.7\n\n### What is your environment?\n\nWindows\n\n### Other environment specifications\n\n\nEnvironment\n- OS: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (VPS – Hostinger, São Paulo/Brazil)\n- Deployment: Docker (Portainer)\n- Node.js version: Not specified (Docker container)\n- Evolution API version: 2.3.7\n- Database: PostgreSQL\n- Connection type: Baileys\n\n### If applicable, paste the log output\n\n_No response_\n\n### Additional Notes\n\n_No response_","author":{"url":"https://github.com/Patrick-Kauai","@type":"Person","name":"Patrick-Kauai"},"datePublished":"2026-01-15T21:56:54.000Z","interactionStatistic":{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":"https://schema.org/CommentAction","userInteractionCount":0},"url":"https://github.com/2363/evolution-api/issues/2363"}
