The initiative aims to cultivate master’s and PhD‑level core talent capable of leading the global generative AI market through joint research between domestic universities (including graduate schools) and generative AI companies. The program will run for four years, from April 2026 to December 2029. As the lead organization, Elice Inc. has formed a consortium with four joint research institutions—KAIST, Seoul National University, POSTECH, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies—and will carry out four major industry–academia joint research projects that combine the research strengths of each university. Hands‑on experience across the entire lifecycle of generative AI development, from data collection to deployment and operationsThrough this project, more than 70 full‑time master’s and PhD students each year will gain practical experience across the entire generative AI development lifecycle—from data collection and preprocessing to model development, deployment, and operations. Elice Inc. and Standard Energy to Target Global Markets with “K-AI PMDC” Elice Inc. and Standard Energy sign MOU for joint development of AI PMDC and power solutionsElice Inc., a full-stack AI company providing AI infrastructure, cloud, and industry-specific solutions, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with battery specialist Standard Energy Co., Ltd. (CEO Bugi Kim) on the 6th for the joint development of an AI portable modular data center (PMDC) and vanadium ion battery (VIB)-based power solutions. This partnership comes at a time when demand for data centers is rapidly increasing due to the expansion of AI services. The collaboration aims to simultaneously enhance power stability, fire safety, and energy efficiency—key challenges in operating AI infrastructure. The two companies will jointly develop a high-efficiency power infrastructure solution by integrating Standard Energy’s vanadium ion battery (VIB) technology into Elice’s AI portable modular data center, “Elice AI PMDC.” Unlike conventional lithium-ion batteries, Standard Energy’s vanadium ion batteries use water-based electrolytes, which effectively eliminate the risk of fire. Combining liquid-cooled AI PMDC with vanadium ion batteries to create an export-ready K-PMDC model with enhanced safety and power efficiencyThe partners will jointly develop modular uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and battery energy storage system (BESS) solutions optimized for PMDC environments, and work on advancing an energy management system (EMS) that uses AI to analyze and predict energy usage patterns. Elice will support the application of AI technologies based on PMDC operational data, while Standard Energy will be responsible for the stable supply and standardization of vanadium ion battery technology.
